GTA San Andreas Game Review

Gta San Andreas offers an expansive world to discover, with powerful gameplay systems. You could spend hundreds of hours driving, eating, dancing, working out, racing BMX bikes and exploring Los Santos, San Fierro and Las Venturas – you might just make friends along the way!

Missions range from traditional gangster scenarios, escort missions, stealth home robberies and on-rails shooting situations – drawing inspiration from films like Menace II Society and Boyz N the Hood.

Gameplay

The game takes place in San Andreas, which is loosely modeled after Los Angeles. It follows Carl “CJ” Johnson from Grove Street Families gang who had left San Andreas five years prior for Liberty City five years prior to events of game. CJ eventually returns after his mother dies to rejoin Sean/”Sweet”, childhood friends like Ryder gangster Ryder, as well as rapper OG Loc.

An essential aspect of gameplay involves driving a variety of cars and completing side missions for various criminal gang bosses or underworld figures in the game’s underworld, such as taxi driving, bus driving, dispatching taxis or firefighting services or learning to fly helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft.

Players can modify their vehicles by purchasing parts at garages, which enables them to increase handling and speed while customizing its appearance and performance with stereo systems, nitrous oxide upgrades and hydraulic modifications.

Characters

Gta San Andreas has long been beloved by gamers for its cast of memorable characters and its gripping storyline. Though released back in 2004, gamers continue to cherish Gta San Andreas – and many of its iconic figures have become household names themselves.

CJ, the game’s protagonist, is a Grove Street gang member who returns to Los Santos after his mother has passed and finds that crime has taken over his city. CJ must endure hardship throughout his journey which solidifies him as one of Rockstar’s iconic protagonists.

CJ’s older brother, Sweet, leads the Grove Street Families and harbors a grudge against Cesar Vialpando for dating his sister Kendl and falling for Varios Los Aztecas leader Cesar Vialpando’s Varios Los Aztecas gang leader Cesar Vialpando’s Varios Los Aztecas leader Cesar Vialpando who runs their Varios Los Aztecas gang leader Cesar Vialpando. Furthermore, Sweet finds out that Big Smoke and Ryder betrayed their gang and were instead dupes by corrupt cops from both factions – Ballas and Los Santos Vagos!

Officer Tenpenny serves as the primary antagonist in this game, an irredeemable character who exploits CJ for personal gain. Samuel L. Jackson voices him brilliantly to bring this unique voice character to life within the franchise’s canon.

Vehicles

GTA San Andreas features an expansive fleet of vehicles never seen before in any previous GTA game, making for an easy yet challenging vehicle search experience. Some are easily available while others require searching far and wide or using cheats to unlock.

The Premier is an extremely fast and dependable vehicle found throughout Los Santos’ wealthy areas. Equipped with an excellent engine, this model can also handle difficult stunt jumps. Ideal for any player hoping to dominate Los Santos streets.

The BF Injection is one of the fastest vehicles in the game thanks to its powerful rear-drive and high-performance (virtual) V8 engine. With minimal risk for rollovers and agile handling characteristics, making it suitable for off-road racing or drifting; plus its durable nature allows it to withstand much damage before succumbing to destruction.

Locations

Gta San Andreas takes place in a fictional State called San Andreas, inspired by parts of California and Nevada. Its three major cities are Los Santos (modeled on Los Angeles), San Fierro (modelled after San Francisco) and Las Venturas (based on Las Vegas). There are also smaller towns and villages scattered across San Andreas; as well as desert and forest regions to traverse.

Many of the city locations from Gta 3D Universe have been upgraded for HD, giving these classic locations an enhanced appearance in this Remaster. You’ll recognize them from Los Santos to Vinewood; from crack-ridden streets to glamorous addresses reminiscent of CJ’s first missions – everything remains exactly where it should.

Grove Street serves as the foundation for this gang-based game and its surrounding district, Ganton, is home to Old Reece’s Barbershop and Well Stacked Pizza Co – two targets Ryder attempts unsuccessfully to rob – while Alhambra nightclub allows CJ to bust some moves. Glen Park lies further north where Ballas are trying to take control; here you’ll find Lil’ Probe Inn (a parody of Little A’Le’Inn), named Area 69 after both anal Probe and Arizona alien base!

Story

Grand Theft Auto San Andreas puts players into the role of an aspiring criminal. Missions from underworld figures and major kingpins must be completed to advance in the storyline; taxi driving, firefighting, street racing and bus driving may bring additional income opportunities; as well as some heists or murders that need to take place to complete.

Gamers are introduced to Carl “CJ” Johnson, a member of Grove Street Family who has returned home after five years away. The game reveals his motives; possibly due to Brian being killed and CJ seeking revenge against Brian for killing him.

Rockstar Games was inspired by popular movies of its time when creating GTA V’s story, such as Menace II Society and Colors. Colors features an LAPD unit which deals with rival gangs similar to C.R.A.S.H in GTA V; Young Malay was initially cast as CJ before Shawn Fonteno replaced him for GTA V.
