Paul Schaut, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Paul Schaut serves as Modiv Media’s
Chairman of the Board and CEO, utilizing his over 25 years of deep
sales, marketing and executive management experience in the digital,
mobile technology and marketing industries to propel the company
through its next stage of growth.
Paul is also an independent advisor
to and director of several venture backed technology companies and has
served as CEO for companies including Tira Wireless, a mobile porting
technology enabler; Performaworks, an enterprise goal and performance
management solution provider; and Engage, a broad based digital
marketing thought leader. He led Engage through 10 acquisitions,
worldwide expansion and a successful initial public offering. Paul
holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from San
Jose State University.

Mike Grimes, President
Mike Grimes is an
accomplished sales and business development executive with expertise in
new customer acquisition, go-to-market strategies and strategic
alliances for early-stage companies. Mike has been with Modiv Media™
since 2001.
Prior to Modiv, Mike was Vice
President of North American Sales for PinPoint Corporation, a
manufacturer of real-time proximity solutions for manufacturing and
healthcare markets, where he built and managed the direct and channel
sales teams. Prior to PinPoint, Mike held various VP-level positions at
Telxon Corporation (now part of Motorola), a manufacturer of mobile
wireless information systems. He ran Telxon's northeast division for
four years and later built up its North American channel sales team.

Mikle Surilov, Vice President of Engineering
Mikle Surilov joined
Modiv Media™ in 2002. With more than 10 years of engineering
experience, Mikle brings extensive technical and management experience
to Modiv Media™ from companies such as IBM, Seven Mountains Software
and Adnet Technologies.
While at IBM, Mikle
provided technical leadership in development of an order fulfillment
and scheduling solution for ADVO, now Valassis Communications, one of
the largest media buyers in the United States. At Seven Mountains,
Mikle led the development of several projects: secure remote access
software, identity management, application on-demand deployment and
hosting platform. While at Adnet Technologies, Mikle was involved in an
aerospace project that focused on building an
inventory-and-bill-of-materials application of the astronauts'
life-support packs, including a what-if analysis application that
provided flight scheduling capabilities.
Mikle holds a BS in
computer science and engineering from the University of Connecticut.

Matt Volpi, Director of Product Management
Matt Volpi joined Modiv
Media™ in 2007 with more than a decade of experience in mobile and
consumer Internet technologies. Matt is reponsible for product
strategy, marketing and media operations at Modiv Media.
Prior to Modiv Media™, Matt was a
Product Line Manager for Mobility Tools at Sun Microsystems. Matt also
held various global product management and product marketing roles at
Nokia, where he provided tools and services to nurture the nascent
mobile browsing and application market. At CMGi, Matt created one of
the first personalized mobile content experiences for mobile phones and
pagers, as well as introducing the first free real-time stock quotes
offering on the Internet.
Matt holds an MBA from Babson College
and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Penn State University.

Jason Carney, Director of Operations
Jason
joined Modiv Media™ in 2007 bringing more than 15 years of experience
in the development,
implementation, and support of retail technologies. As Director
of Operations, Jason is responsible for the implementation and
ongoing support of Modiv Media’s products.
Prior
to joining Modiv Media™, Jason held Information Technology management
positions with Stop &
Shop Supermarkets, Ahold USA, and BJ’s Wholesale Clubs. While at
Stop & Shop Supermarkets, Jason was responsible for the
architecture and support of several generations of retail technologies
including In-Store Processors, Point of Sale, wireless systems,
network, mobile devices, and customer-facing self-service
technologies. Jason also managed the initial pilot
development and rollout of Modiv Media’s Shopper solution. At
Ahold, Jason provided technical leadership for the strategic
architecture of standardized in-store technology across five US
operating companies. While at BJ’s Wholesale, Jason led the evaluation,
selection, and implementation of their Self-Checkout strategy.
